The play detector is one of the items that must be tested at vehicle inspection station in China. Here is the main testing process and requirements of the play detector:
1. Park the vehicle at the designated position above the trench, and stop the engine;
2. Inspection of the steering system: with the cooperation of the operator in the cab, turn the steering wheel back and forth, check the fixation of the steering gear (to use the Play Detector); check the fastening, locking and limit of all parts of the steering system; check whether there is interference or friction trace / phenomenon in the steering process; check whether there is damage to all parts and whether there is splicing welding of the tie rod and straight rod. Special hammers shall be used when checking whether components are damaged and pipelines are fixed.
3. Inspection of the transmission system;
4. Inspection of the brake system;
5. Inspection of the electrical circuit;
6. Inspection of other parts of chassis.
