At present in China, when the multi axle and parallel axle vehicles of less than or equal to 13T are in the annual review, the Loading Method Automobile Brake Tester must be used to test the braking performance; The wheel braking performance of other small and medium-sized vehicles can be tested by ordinary Roller Brake Tester or Platform Brake Tester.
When testing the braking performance of the vehicle, first drive vehicle onto the Brake Tester, place the wheels between the main&slave rollers, and the lifter is put down. The static wheel load / axle load of the vehicle is read by system at this step. Then start the motor through the control system, and the wheels are driven to rotate at low speed through the reducer, chain drive and the main&slave rollers. After the wheels speed is stable, the left&right wheels friction is read by system. Later, the driver will be prompted to step on the brake pedal to obtain the maximum braking force of the left&right wheels and the maximum braking difference of the left&right wheels in the whole process of brake growth. If you need to adopt the Loading Method, the whole brake tester needs to be lifted up and repeat the above process so as to evaluate the single axle braking performance and vehicle braking performance.
Roller Brake Tester must be equipped with the “Third Roller Power Off System”to stop the motor in time during the process of inspection so as to protect the tire from being worn by the roller. Now most of the popular Roller Brake Tester adopts corundum roller whose surface is with high adhesion coefficient, which can ensure the tire will not slip on the roller because of the rain. Combined with wheel (axle) load tester, sideslip tester, suspension tester, a complete vehicle test lane can be widely used in automobile repair shop, 4S shop, vehicle inspection station, engine factory and other institutions.
